Real Seiko's VS Etsy Fake-O's
Share
Etsy is so full of counterfeit watches, that you can enter "counterfeit seiko" in their search bar and it will pull up thousands of counterfeit stores. Here is one example of Fake-O 5's and the just-as-fake reporting process that gets thrown into the abyss so Etsy can continue to enjoy the billions in profit from illegal activity.
Yashenterprises, a new shop only one month on Etsy, is selling mass produced counterfeits from India. Like all other counterfeiters, they have hundreds of "rare", "vintage", models with either no serial number or the same serial number. This store has watches printed with the counterfeit stamp 206310 which is not a Seiko number of course. The crown is not at the 5 position and the logo is printed on the fake dial which they're too lazy to even put a fake serial number on. Real Seiko has a serial number at the 6 position. See below. When you report it, you get this message but Etsy will ignore it so you have no choice but to educate yourself on how to spot a fake watch.
You're wasting your time to report to Seiko because they don't care or respond, which is likely why fraudsters choose Seiko to counterfeit. If the company has no teeth, there will be no bite.
In this case, we use Seiko 5, the current "popular" selling one on Etsy that hundreds of thousands of victims are being scammed with.
